Claudia

Claudia joined RJ in March 2022 as a Bail Client Advocate and is now our Chief of Staff. She is often called our “swiss army knife” and lends a hand in many of RJ’s day to day activities. Claudia handles intake for RJ and is often the first point of contact for individuals who reach out to us looking for help.

Claudia has stood beside friends and family and community as they face the criminal legal system and believes she was drawn to this work to provide a voice and support to those who otherwise would be overlooked. She believes that together, as one community in familial love, we can spark the change that our injustice system so desperately needs.

Claudia comes to RJ with a wide-ranging set of skills that she has gained from her background as a paralegal in various areas of the law including constitutional, criminal, family and civil law. Claudia also worked as the Court Coordinator for the 351st Harris County Criminal District Court prior to coming to RJ and is excited to use all she has learned to help our clients and community navigate the often confusing and complex criminal legal system. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and four children and is a huge film and music fan.
